Rowlands Cottage is the ideal base for so many activities it is hard to know where to begin. For the walkers and photographers amongst you the Peak District is of course famous for it's seemingly never ending supply of beautiful walks, spectacular views and abundant wildlife. Our delightful holiday cottage is a great base to explore Dovedale, Monsal Dale, Lathkill Dale . . . . Each of them well worth visiting.

Cyclists can explore the local lanes and pathways or be more adventurous and take to the Tissington Trail - just a short distance away - cycle hire is available at the trail or you can of course bring your own and use our secure storage facility.

For those in need of a shopping fix the towns of Leek, Ashbourne and Buxton are well worth a visit, and since you've come this far why not visit Bakewell - home of the famous pudding - you can even post one home.

There are several National Trust properties within driving distance and for the more adventurous a day out at Alton Towers is sure to get the pulse raised.

Whatever you chose to do with your time in the Peak District you'll be pleased that you chose Rowlands as your holiday cottage.
